DV8 sun cream provides an effective screen from both UVA and UVB rays using only mineral UV filters. Zinc, known for its anti-inflammatory properties, and titanium in this sunscreen act by deflecting the harmful rays of the sun – they are not absorbed into the body, as in the case of organic chemicals filters such as oxybenzone, avobenzone, octocrylene, and others.
The mineral filters used in this sunscreen have a translucent appearance and are non-NANO which ensures that they stay on the top layer of the skin forming a protective barrier that scatters UVA and UVB rays for superior sun protection.
The other ingredients in this sunscreen come from natural or naturally derived sources. Sweet almond oil is a rich source of nutrients and vitamins E and D, essential for skin nourishment and hydration, oat protein has soothing and anti-inflammatory qualities, niacinamide is known for its anti-ageing effects and raspberry seed oil is an anti-oxidant which is renowned for its natural sun protection properties.
The product has been formulated with safety in mind and is free from parabens, petroleum products, organic chemical filters and PEG compounds. It has been laboratory tested and offers UVB protection of SPF30. Importantly, it also offers UVA protection equivalent to a 4-star rating.
